Did some water tests a few days back after the first week of using the Seachem Equilibrium mineral compound.
The GH is holding at a steady 5, and the KH has dropped dropped down to 4 from 6 over about 2 months, granted I've not been checking this as often as the GH. I am now looking into buffering the KH in the same manner from now on, likely trying out the Seachem Alkaline and Acid buffers…
I have also decided to drop the carbon back in to the Juwel stack during the latest water change as the water did seem to be taking on a yellow tinge, i did seem to have a degradation in plant health that seemed to coincide with putting carbon in last time. If it needs to come back out in the short time then so be it…
A few pictures…
New buds and shoots as ever being sent out…
I found one lodged in the filter grill a few days later, wondering if the plant actually releases these or its been knocked off by a fish rummaging round? My Bristlenose is a little boisterous at times…
Trap door snail appears to have found itself somewhere interesting to sleep too!
Plenty of trailing leaves…
